Our Dodson, LA lumber mill has an immedie opening for an Electrical Superintendent. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position and provides excellent growth potential and opportunities for advancement.
Dodson Lumber is loced on Hwy 167 approximely 10 miles south of Jonesboro, LA, and approximely 15 miles north of Winnfield, LA. Many of our Dodson employees reside in Jackson, Winn, and Lincoln Parishes. Lincoln Parish is home to Louisiana Tech University and Grambling Ste University and North Louisiana is home to various ste parks such as Lake Claiborne and Kischie Nional Forest with a variety of activities, like hiking, fishing, hunting, kayaking, and camping.
Our mill produces high-quality Southern Yellow Pine lumber used for residential construction throughout the Southern and Eastern USA. We have a repution for manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement. The current opportunity is on day shift, however the successful candide must be willing to work other shifts and weekends when needed.
Key Functions:
Provides leadership for and mentors the electrical team, PLC Engineers, and PLC Technicians. Responsible for the training of the PLC/Technical group in troubleshooting and programming PLC’s and mill-specific Optimizion equipment. Leads Process Improvements through constant evaluion of mill performance and interaction with the Safety, Operions, Quality, and Maintenance Teams. This position reports to the Mill Manager.
The Electrical Superintendent will plan, develop, manage, and provide effective leadership for the team through:
Ensuring the safety of all associes by identifying safety issues and taking measures to proactively address concerns
Driving an electrical safety culture based on NFPA 70E compliance
Actively supervising and developing the process control and electrical team to ensure effective communicion across/between shifts and with the production teams
Utilizing preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtime
Efficient use of reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure uptime, production volume, and quality goals are met
Implementing effective use of training resources to build team capacity by enhancing and building the team's technical skills
Using computer-based programs to support effective prioritizion of maintenance requests, manage maintenance inventory, and delege maintenance resources

Compension: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $108,500-$162,700 based on your level of skills, qualificions and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 15% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times th target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company mch in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
Paid Time Off or Vacion: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacion to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacion for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
